A client is proposing an interview with me, how does it work?

Congratulations!

If the client has requested an interview with you, it's a good sign: typically, clients meet with 1 to 2 profiles before making a decision.
The interview is used, depending on the brief, to:
-get to know you better
- provide more information about the brief/mission
- ask any remaining questions

🗓 What is the process?

Note: Unless otherwise specified, interviews are conducted via video call!

The process: You will receive an email notifying you that the client has proposed time slots.
You can select one, the client will be notified, and will receive your contact information and will be responsible for scheduling the call on your calendar.

If no time slot is suitable: indicate it on the platform, you will receive the client's contact information and you can arrange everything directly.

🤓 How to prepare?

This is classic:
- reread the brief (and any attached documents if there are any)
- take a look at the client's website
- if necessary, check what position the client holds through a quality Google search
- prepare your relevant references (to be able to show or tell them, depending on your profession)
- and prepare the questions you have

The information the client has about you: what's in your freelance profile (including LinkedIn links and portfolio) and the content of your quote (amounts and message).

🦚 Good to know

This is the time to:
- ask ALL the questions you have about the brief
- let them know of any potential unavailability during the work period
- clarify anything you have doubts about

And if the client mentions something that wasn't planned?
It rarely happens, but if your client announces additional deliverables that were not included in the brief and that add more work time, or tries to negotiate the day rate you presented, then you can
1/ refer them back to us to discuss it
2/ let us know in parallel, and give us your opinion/estimate so we can handle the negotiation
